Portugal’s Maniche fit for the World Cup
Portugal’s midfielder Maniche will be fit to play for his national side in the World Cup.
Obviously if I had played all the time I would be in better condition but I feel fine, I feel ready to help the team and I feel I can do good things for the team,” said Maniche who played just 11 times for the English champions.
“I am with the national team with heart and soul, I am here with the desire to carry out a great World Cup campaign and help all my colleagues.”
Maniche has scored three goals in 28 international appearances and was a key part of coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s squad during UEFA EURO 2004 in which hosts Portugal lost to Greece in the final.
