Columbian goalkeeper scores goal against Poland
A strange goal gave Columbia a 1-0 lead against Poland. The goal was scored by Columbian goalkeeper Luis Enrique Martinez, with a long shot that has gone past the Polish keeper, Tomasz Kuszczak.
This goal sealed Tomasz Kuszczak’s chances of a place in the Polish team at the World Cup. Unfortunately for Poland, the other goalkeeper, Artur Boruc, made a mistake at the second goal for Columbia and brought Liverpool’s Jerzy Dudek lack of presence in the World Cup squad in the discussion again.
Janas said: “In particular I was not satisfied with the defence. The players lack dynamism and pace but we have another nine days until the finals and we will work on this in Germany.”
Poland face hosts Germany, Ecuador and Costa Rica in FIFA World Cup Group A next month.
