Japan and Zico needs to change something
Japan played bad. They didn’t create chances… they really didn’t play as they were expected. Coach Zico understands he needs to make some changes.
In their second Group-F match against Croatia on Sunday, he plans to boost his midfield by employing his favourite four-man last line which can free up two full-backs to join four midfielders in pressing the opponents.
“I will add one more to our midfield. It is the best measure for a must-win match,” he said.
Players still have trust in Zico and this is a great thing to have, because they will play as you tell them to.
Openly irked by coverage in his homeland he considers to have been overly pessimistic, Nakata made it clear that he is certainly still thinking positively when it was asked of him if Japan could muster four points from their remaining Group F matches. “We still have two games left,” he countered. “Why would we think about winning four points if we can get six?”
