Pass the soap, please! says Germany’s Lehmann
Quite a title for a World Cup article, isn’t it? Well, it is not about personal hygene of the players attending the World Cu, it is about every goalkeeper’s problem: the ball.
It seems that the ball that will be used at the upcoming World Cup in Germany will prove to be quite difficult to hold on to, Germany’s keeper Lehman says.
“When it rains it’s not going to be very comfortable for us. It gets very slippery. It also moves a lot in the air.”
More, he compares the official ball of the tournament, the Teamgeist by Adidas with Nike’s balls (excuse the odd connections):
“The Nike ball feels more like an old fashioned leather ball,” he said. “The Adidas one is more plastic.”
