Germany’s Klinsmann under pressure
Well, who wouldn’t be, after losing 4-1 against Italy, 100 days before World Cup start?
Klinsmann wouldn’t. He is keeping his cool, saying that he has a plan for the World Cup and that there will be no problem there. He gave a response to Beckenbaur saying that he stays more at home, in USA, then in Germany, watching the players.
Beckenbauer, Germany’s World Cup organizing committee president, said on Monday he was angry and disappointed that Klinsmann was not in Duesseldorf for the two-day meetings to discuss technical issues.
Poor results on top of that have already led some newspapers, starting with Bild, to speculate on who might replace him with Matthias Sammer and Ottmar Hitzfeld seen as the two favorites.
It is very unlikely, however, that Klinsmann will lose his job before the World Cup.
“It makes no sense to keep questioning his work and his methods,” said DFB chief executive Theo Zwanziger.
“We must all stand by him.”
Well, we must wait and see… What if Germany wins the World Cup?
