France hopes the second WOrld Cup trophy will be in their grasp.
Footballers across the globe are known for their rituals and superstitions, and the French are no different. While Les Bleus will be relying on their on-field prowess in Sunday’s Final, they will no doubt also have taken note of a few interesting precedents which, who knows, might help to tip the balance in their favour.
History repeats itself, or so the saying goes, and France’s performances at the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ would seem to confirm this. You only have to look back to UEFA EURO 2000 to find any number of similarities with the French team’s progress at Germany 2006.
