Interview: Brazil’s Felipe Massa
Felipe Massa is Michael Schumacher’s partner at Ferrari. But, before being a Formula 1 driver, he is a football fan and a Brazilian. What he thought of Brazil match?
I watched the Brazil-Croatia game the night before the F1 test session at the Paul Ricard circuit with my girlfriend, who’s also Brazilian, and a few of the team’s technical staff. I’ve seen Brazil play better but they got the result and at the end of the day that’s what counts. I thought Kaka and Roberto Carlos were the best players on the pitch.
The first World Cup game is often a bit tricky but I’m sure that we’ll see the real Brazil from now on. I also watched the warm-up games and I still think we’re among the favourites. In fact, I’ve managed to see most of the games in Germany so far and I think Italy, England, Spain and Germany are also in there with a chance. I hope I can carry on watching the games during the coming weeks, even from Canada and the United States which is where we’re headed next. I should be able to - unless I’m actually driving! I’ve got tickets for Brazil v Australia in Munich on Sunday afternoon and I can’t wait!”
