Brazil’s Edmilson back home
First draw-back for 2002 World Cup winners, Brazil: defensive midfielder Edmilson is back in his country, because of injury.
Brazil defensive midfielder Edmilson has flown home from the Seleção’s training camp in Swizerland after tests on Wednesday revealed that he had suffered a serious injury to his right knee. The Barcelona player landed back in Brazil early on Thursday morning, with his hopes of appearing at the FIFA World Cup™ in tatters.
Jose Luiz Runco, the Brazilian national team doctor, had shed light on the injury at a news conference on Wednesday when he said: “Yesterday (Tuesday), after trying a shot at goal, he said that his knee began bothering him again. Today, a more detailed examination revealed that the lateral meniscus had ruptured.”
This is the first thing that went bad in Brazil’s camp, a “dolce far niente” place to be right now, where Ronaldinho plays around with fans and Ronaldo has been reccomended sex to lose wight.
