Kewell’s goal, for Socceroos’ fans
Kewell was the player that made history adn qualified Australia to the last 16 teams of the World Cup.
When you think he could have missed this game because of a stupid thing he did towards the referee in the previous game… anyway, Harry Kewell fought that and the injury before and brought happiness to an entire nation.
With Italy up next in Kaiserslautern on Monday, Kewell beamed from ear to ear as he looked forward to the prospect. “It’s going to be fantastic,” he said. “We weren’t even supposed to get this far. A lot of people wrote us off, but we were quietly confident and we don’t fear anybody. We lost against the world’s best when we played Brazil, but we’ve got nothing to be ashamed of.
“Against Italy we’ve got to out there and play our football and not worry about the opposition. It’s the first time our nation have qualified past this stage, so we are going to go out and enjoy it.”
