Argentina’s Luiz Gonzales not in danger
Midfielder Luis Gonzales left the field in the 17th minute because of a muscle problem, but he said there is no problem, he will be fit for next games.
A pulled muscle in his left groin forced Gonzalez off the field in the 17th minute. Coach Jose Pekerman sent on Esteban Cambiasso, who Gonzalez had originally replaced in the team in a bid to offer more pace.
“I felt a pull, I was told it was minor,” Gonzalez told reporters. “I had an X-ray and in a week or ten days I should be fine.”
But Pekerman said he expected Gonzalez to be fit for the last Group C match against Netherlands on Wednesday. “We hope he will recover for the next match,” said the coach.
