Spain is confident to qualify for World CUp
While all the odds are against Slovakia, Spain’s adversary in the qualifying play-off, you have to agree that a team like Spain should have never had to go through something like that. Even they agree on that:
Whatever follows over the next week, both Xavi and Vicente agree that Spain should not have allowed themselves to be dragged into a play-off situation. Xavi said that they had paid the price for too many draws: “We didn’t lose any games, but we drew a lot, which ended up costing us top spot. It’s now down to us to show the world that Spain deserve to be in the World Cup by winning this tie.”
Though I hope to see the Spanish team in Germany, I have to admit that they didn’t provide good football in the World Cup finals in previous years, though they have a handful of players that could rival the Brazilians. Should the names like Raul, Torres, Puyol and the likes need any more presentation?
Well, tune in for the results of the two matches and let’s see if they can provide the necessary performance to reach Germany in June 2006.
