Nedved back for the Czechs
Good news for the Czech team before the play-off matches: Nedved, their best football player is back in the team. Having been gone for the entire qualifying group matches, because of injury and feeling that he has to focus more on his club team, Juventus Torino, Nedved finally comes back
to bring his talent and help his nation reach the World Cup in Germany.
He has now officially made the return and will play this weekend in Norway. Despite his mediocre performance for Juve of late, the national team will rely heavily on his skills. This situation will be emphasized since Jan Koller and Vraticlav Lokvenc are both injured and coach Karel Brückner needs an strong personality to influence his squad: “I have a good feeling about Pavel’s return,” Brückner said.
The Czechs will need him especially since Koller, their top scorer is injured and will not play.
This makes it even more important that the goal-hungry Nedved plays right behind Baros, in a both a supporting and attacking role.
