A lot of teams played warm-up games in preparation for the big event that is the World Cup. The favourites won, shaping up for the event of the year.
Germany scored 7 times in order for them to win over Luxembourg’s national team. It is true, the team is one of the weakest in European football, but finally, the German team is giving signs that it really exists.

Zinedine Zidane, who will retire after the World Cup, celebrated his 100th cap for France, although he was substituted in the second half after a low-key display in the Stade de France, scene of his country’s 1998 World Cup triumph.
Ivory Coast came from behind to finish level on 1 against Switzerland, Serbia and Montenegro did the same with Uruguay, while Paraguay didn’t break the rhythm with a similar 1-1 against Denmark.
Portugal won against Cape Verde Islands 4-1, while their neighbours Spain finished 0-0 against Russia.
The only team to be qualified for the World Cup to lose was Trinidad and Tobago, against Wales, 1-2.
