Klinsmann says: we will beat France
Germany’s coach says that his team is well prepared for its first win against a major footballing team in five years.
He says that the matches in the Confederation Cup and the fact that they are so confident makes for the perfect conditions to win against France on Saturday in their friendly match.
More, he says that it will happen, eventually, even if not now, at the World Cup in 2006. Well, I think he would like the latter better.
Germany haven’t won a match against a major footballing nation in 14 attempts, not since a 1-0 victory over England in October 2000.
France have won their last two encounters against the Germans - 1-0 in Paris on September 1, 2001 and 3-0 at Gelsenkirchen on June 15, 2004.
